Nintendo brings back retro NES Classic console

16 May 2018

The console, which is a mini-version of the original NES from 1983, will go on sale in the United States from June 29 of 2018.

When the NES Classic Mini released back in 2016, it was an instant success, selling out before even hitting the shelves. Along with the similarly popular SNES Classic, both consoles "are expected to be available through the end of the year". Nintendo has assured that the gaming console will be available until the end of the year. The NES mini will have the same selection of games, come with the same controllers, the same form and everything else. The micro-console was then discontinued in early 2017, much to the dismay of many fans.

Back in 2016 Nintendo released a new version of a very old console, and it sold out nearly immediately. " Said Nintendo on Twitter".

The NES Classic features 30 games, with classics like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Excitebike and more included.

The NES Classic is a mini version of the 1980's console and costs $59.99. Nintendo has announced that the hard-to-find mini-console will be available again starting on June 29.

According to a report on The Verge, Nintendo will be releasing an additional wave of NES Classic video game consoles later this year.
