This would be par for the course though.

"For any other questions regarding Fortnite cross-network play between Xbox and PlayStation, please reach out to Epic or Sony directly". While Nintendo has embraced this functionality and PC gamers can play with console gamers in supported titles, Sony has always been sitting on the outside looking in but it can only blame itself. But, Sony has been hesitating to partner with Microsoft.

Epic Games has recently revealed that it will soon be implementing a cross-platform play or cross-play, in which players with different gaming devices can play against one another.

While not as popular as its free-to-play component, paying for the game will arguably give you a small bonus in the Battle Royale mode as the game includes some extra items.

One said they haven't played Fortnite Save the World in four months, but ended up being charged $210 (£150.38) for two purchases.

FortCraft is currently in beta on Android and iOS devices. In fact, Tyler claims that he never purchased it. He allegedly didn't even logged in for the last 24 hours.

As we reported yesterday, Fortnite cross-play is gaining a pretty large audience. PlayStation 4 Battlefield 1 players can only play with other PlayStation 4 players, PC Team Fortress 2 owners can only team up with other PC owners, and so on. As noted by a Kotaku report, Microsoft alleges that Sony is blocking cross-platform play between Playstation 4 and Xbox One gamers.

It's so popular the game now boasts a staggering 45 million players worldwide and is still growing fast.

A cross-play between both consoles is very feasible from a technical perspective, something that developers have been discussing for a long time. Some concerns have been raised about the impact the game might have on young players.

Earlier, a possible bug enabled cross-play between the Xbox One and PS4. It is, however, not clear if it was a bug or an effort by Fortnite to demonstrate just how easy it is to enable the cross-platform play from the technical perspective, notes Forbes. Considering Epic's vision for the game, the bug looked like more of an attempt. Moving forward Epic Games has stated they will send out new codes later this week.
