Azpilicueta: Chelsea keen to continue upturn against United

Willian was superb, and he has earned himself a spot in WhoScored's Champions League team of the week.

The Argentine maestro, teed up by Andres Iniesta, struck a low shot past keeper Thibaut Courtois for his first goal in nine attempts against Chelsea. The makeup of the team did not encourage structured attacking play, and it squandered the abilities of Chelsea's most talented player, Eden Hazard.

"We have three weeks to be ready for the game and we will give everything". Pique and Umtiti are excellent, so Chelsea's striker can't be expected to win every ball, but he will bring down his fair share, and if Hazard and Co. can be within 10 yards of him when he does, he could lay it off and allow the Blues to move forward as a more cohesive unit.

"Now he is playing because he deserves to play".

It's sure to be a hugely challenging task for Antonio Conte's side at Camp Nou on Wednesday, though, and Azpilicueta has admitted that Chelsea must maintain focus and avoid silly mistakes at the home of the La Liga leaders.

Antonio Conte absolved Andreas Christensen of blame for the Champions League draw with Barcelona and anointed the defender as a future Chelsea captain.

Christensen, who joined Chelsea's academy at the age of 15, will hope to bounce back when the Blues travel to Old Trafford on Sunday. "We have to play in a similar way [against United as in the Barca match]", added the Brazilian.

Conte will likely use the strongest line-up that he has available to him, despite his squad putting so much into the midweek game. "I made a fantastic choice, and I want to take credit for that".

'You need to try to get the win, this is very important for the mentality.

'You have to start the game with only one target in your mind, ' Conte said, when asked whether he would settle for a point.

David Luiz is currently out with an ankle injury and Tiemoue Bakayoko has a knock that he sustained in training.

The Blues will have to rely on the same core tenets that brought them through the first leg: work rate, positional discipline and belief they can upset the odds.
