Premier League: Chelsea manager Antonio Conte reveals yoga helps him relax

12 Enero 2018

The Premier League champions' preparations for the winter market were shaken in November by the surprise resignation of technical director Michael Emenalo, who had spent 10 years across the coaching and scouting departments at Stamford Bridge and acted as Conte's primary line of communication to the Chelsea hierarchy on recruitment strategy.

Brazil defender David Luiz and Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi are the players most likely to be concerned over their chances of competing at Russia 2018 due to being out of favour at Chelsea. I am the coach and my main task is to work on the pitch with my players.

The return of the two players is not going to affect the club too much but if they manage to get back into the starting XI, it would be exciting to see how they do it.

"If the club decided to ask me something about my team I will try to give my opinion".

A combination of injury and an alleged bust-up with Conte has seen Luiz linked with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge, including reports of interest from Arsenal, but won't be going anywhere before a replacement arrives. Chelsea are bound to loan him out for the rest of te season as he too has asked for a move.

"I like and am very interested in yoga, I like to read books about these topics".

One Juventus player who could still reunite with former boss Conte is Alex Sandro. I repeat, I understand for the striker it's not easy when you don't score.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger played down suggestions that the 1-1 draw with West Brom was a vital blow to their top-four chances.

"I prefer to have players happy to stay here than to have players that are unhappy. I don't see a possibility".

"If we can, I'd like to avoid this situation. At the same time, I was a player and I will understand if someone is thinking in this way (that they need to play more)".
