Liverpool end Man City's unbeaten run, Bournemouth beat Arsenal — Premier League

17 Enero 2018

There were many reactions to Liverpool's often brilliant but ultimately nerve-wracking win against Manchester City on Sunday.

Klopp was on cloud nine after masterminding a breathless 4-3 win over the title favourites at Anfield this morning. "It's good that we did it. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who it is, we just wanted to win".

On the form he showed against City, Liverpool will be loathe to see him leave at the end of the season.

The Reds dealt Pep Guardiola's side their first Premier League defeat of 2017-18 in a seven goal-thriller, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all hitting the net. He performs better in a more advanced role and is more involved in goals, be it scoring or making them. "Maybe it's the only game they lose in the whole season because they are so strong". There were some game difficult for them but they still scored and killed the game. Manchester City lost their first game of the Premier League season, after going undefeated for twenty-two Premier League games.

"We were never safe".

Evans kept faith with James but was not ultimately rewarded.

After finishing fifth last season and failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in two decades, our friends at Football Whispers have picked out five reasons why the Gunners are destined to miss out on the top four once again this term.

Defeat will have not come as much of a surprise to Guardiola who has constantly insisted that his side would eventually lose their excellent record, and despite defeat they still hold a very comfortable 15-point lead over United ahead of Monday's clash with Stoke City.

"He's always been committed until now but he could have gone yesterday and he could go in the next 48 hours".

United made a lightning start to proceedings at the Emirates thanks to quickfire strikes from Antonio Valencia and Jesse Lingard, before Lacazette deservedly brought Arsenal back into the contest just after half-time. His immediate priority is getting the most of this campaign.

"Football is an unpredictable game". Sometimes you just have to let someone be happy. These, Wijnaldum says, are the matches they need to focus on moving forward. We will miss his goals, we will miss him as a team-mate and as a guy. "I have to give credit to the opponent".

Guardiola said the game against Newcastle was "so, so important" adding: "All the teams lose games". I was not scared at the end, not that I didn't think we could concede a fourth, I have known my boys long enough now, it was so intense.

In a thunderous Anfield atmosphere, Liverpool and Manchester City delivered goals, skill, quality, mistakes, passion and a thrilling finish.

"You will find someone who wants to talk about defending, no clean sheet, but he can blow up my boots".
