Alabama won the national championship over Georgia on a play called … 'Seattle'?

13 Enero 2018

On Monday, the University of Alabama faced off against the University of Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

While other groups will be outside the stadium protesting, the NAACP Atlanta chapter will not, emphasizing they only participate in non-confrontational protests.

Meanwhile, Atlanta earned its highest rating ever for a college football game on ESPN, earning a 47.8 rating. The drive ended in a crucial field goal from Pappanastos.

Georgia's defense was good, too, and Tua Tagovailoa exploited issues the Bulldogs had with pass coverage. They seem to lean on the fact that Meyer has had one of the best teams in the country throughout his time in Columbus and don't think that will change in 2018. The winning play was, basically, four receivers going deep. "That's what we're trying to instill in these young guys to feed into that's what got us here". This video of Scarborough yelling an expletive, followed by what sounded an awful lot like "Trump", was tweeted out by Sporting News last night.

And a fan base that could not possibly have loved the Dawgs more than it did, now does. On this play, Tagovailoa looked downfield to pass but couldn't find anyone open.

The rest of the Top 5 after Alabama: Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Georgia.

Najee Harris, a running back for Crimson Tide, rolled to a team-high 64 yards - including a game-high 35-yard burst - on the ground to help lead Alabama to a come-from-behind victory over Georgia in the College Football Playoff national championship game. While the rankings fluctuate, the Ohio State Buckeyes are in the Top 4 of all four rankings, ranging from No. 4 (twice) and No. 3 (twice).

College football's most controversial coach isn't going away any time soon.

Arians, who retired after the 2017 season, told Colin Cowherd on FS1 that he wouldn't be surprised if Saban is interested in returning to the NFL on one condition. "I just stopped. I knew he was going to catch it, but I just started jumping, up screaming, hollering". And just like that Alabama National Champs. Freshman Jake Fromm heaved a bomb down the right sideline for Hardman, who made the catch, eluded a tackle and tight-roped 80 yards to the end zone for a 20-7 advantage. Tua Tagovailoa - who would later say he was praying out loud in tongues during the game - had been waiting for weeks to hear his name called. Daboll's offense helped Alabama win a title, adjusting on the fly as his backup quarterback stepped in late to save the day. Those schools aren't surprising to see given recent pedigree but, for the Knights, the loss of Scott Frost leaves a significant burden on the shoulders of the returners, headlined by McKenzie Milton.

Baker Mayfield is gone. It answered one of the questions probably many viewers had on Monday: How could a Hawaiian revered for his passing prowess end up in Tuscaloosa, Ala.? Georgia lost 26-23 to Alabama, and 27-23 to Penn State.

Too much importance is assigned to conference bowl records. "Both of them made a great contribution to the success of the team this year".

I know J.T. Barrett is gone, but Urban Meyer has won at least 11 in each of his seasons in Columbus.
