The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemns the launch of a ballistic missile by the terrorist coup militias in the Republic of Yemen which targeted Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Despite the charges by the United States and its Gulf allies that Iran is arming the Houthis, the Journal reported "U.N. experts, however, said in a report that the Iranian origins of the missile were inconclusive".

Iran dismissed the accusations as false and said they were intended to divert attention from the devastating war being waged in Yemen by the Saudi-led coalition.

Turki Al-Malki, said, "This aggressive and arbitrary act by the armed Houthi Iranian group proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the Houthis...with the aim of threatening the security of the Kingdom".

Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman told the Council that "the Secretary-General has again not received any report regarding the supply, sale or transfer to Iran of nuclear-related items undertaken contrary to the provisions of the resolution". There have been casualties among local residents in those attacks.

Houthi missiles are often modified by reducing payloads and rarely hit their targets. She presented what she described as recovered pieces of a missile fired by Houthi militants from Yemen into Saudi Arabia in a November attack, pointing out the missile bears "Iranian missile fingerprints".

Last week, Haley displayed what she said was "undeniable" evidence that Iran was supplying the Houthis with missiles.

Under the current resolution, Iran is "called upon" to refrain from work on ballistic missiles designed to deliver nuclear weapons for up to eight years.
