07 Diciembre 2017

The Fifa Player of the Year 2017 scored his ninth goal of the Champions League season early in Real Madrid's match-up against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Is Real Madrid the favourite to win the Champions League?

Danny Rose revealed his delight at proving people wrong after helping Tottenham finish as Group H winners in the Champions League.

Raphael Varane limped off in the first half and appears highly unlikely to return in time for Saturday's La Liga clash with Sevilla.

Aubameyang equalized three minutes after the break with a shot from inside the Madrid area and the game became an end-to-end affair with both sides creating and missing chances with Ronaldo guilty of failing to add to his tally on a couple of occasions.

On the prospect of equalling Messi's five wins Ronaldo quipped, "I want seven".

Of course, if the floodgates open against Dortmund, he could still match or better that record.

Shinji Kagawa was kept out by Navas after more fine work from Pulisic, before Aubameyang failed to make the most of a sight of goal when he dragged wide from the right side of the box.

6 - Zidane is fixed in his Laissez-faire commitment to allowing talented players to express themselves with freedom, despite the increasing perception that they need more direction and tactical clarity. Dele Alli, 21, netted the brace, and Christian Eriksen, 25, put the Spurs up, 3-0. That agreement ended in 2016, however, with the governing body reintroducing its own accolade once again - 'The Best' Fifa Men's Player.

DF Theo Hernandez, 7 - At times he had Marc Bartra cowering behind a cushion, hiding from flashbacks of his steamrolling by Gareth Bale in the 2014 Copa del Rey final. "I see myself like that".

Bosz did single out Aubameyang, who has long been linked with a move to Madrid, the Dutchman hopeful of keeping the Dortmund star.

The only other Barca player other than Messi, is the Uruguayan centre-forward Luis Suarez. He also added some youngsters during the match, including Marcos Llorente, Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio.
