"One of the wedding organizers got in contact with our executive director, Pablo Algrain, to offer us snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks".

Spain's FC Barcelona extended the contract of star striker Lionel Messi until 30 June, 2021, the club announced on Wednesday, just days after he wed his childhood sweetheart in Argentina.

"We have a great relationship with the Messi Foundation and we always get jerseys and footballs to action", Nazer said. However, it was the groom and his bride that stole the show.

But while Messi does not push lines of underwear, shoes and fragrances like Ronaldo, he has invested in property.

Senior United sources told the BBC on Thursday that they had made a bid for the 24-year-old Belgium international. If you go back to his West Brom days when he was on loan there from Chelsea [he scored] 17 Premier League goals.

He has his own organisation, the Leo Messi Foundation, which he asked for donations to instead of wedding gifts when he married long-term partner Antonella Roccuzzo.

As is the case with his business interests, Messi's charity work is considerable but tends to be focused through sources and ventures he trusts. A photo of part of the donation was sent out via Twitter by the Argentine newspaper La Nacíon on Thursday. These figures are speculative, though, especially as his business interests tend not to be widely publicised.

"I talked to Leo and asked how he was, because of what had gone on".

Spanish media first reported the possibility of Messi's sentence could be lightened last month, noting Messi had an appeal rejected by the Spanish Supreme Court, per BBC News.
